700 Days

A normal person experiences trauma and crisis over increments throughout ones lifetime. I seem to be the exception.

I married my husband after a few months of being together. Every moment since, beginning with our wedding day, has been a moment of crisis. We tried to solve our problems and then it fell apart. On our 3 year anniversary I started this blog. Alone and away from my husband. Almost another 700 days passed before I recommitted my time to finishing this project, complete the healing process that I let myself get distracted with.

It was the advise from my aunt to give everything 700 days before seeing things get better.... and we will have survived the hardest part of raising the kiddos.

700 days to journey through what will be the toughest part of our marriage: with three kids under the age of two, confronting depression, and everything else that has been working its way against us.

  • 620 Days- Vegan?

One of my neighbors encouraged me to a watch a documentary “Forks Over Knives”.  An interesting documentary covering the benefits of a whole foods, plant base diet.

As a vegetarian for half of  my life, I understood the benefits of whole foods, super foods.  But I was under the belief that if someone were to eat meat, that they should have organic.  The hormones and fillers were creating us to be sick and our country was benefiting from the cost of cancer being so high.

Well, studies that began as far as 50-60 years (before hormone and pestisides were a big concern) back show that animal proteins and animal dairy actually create environment where cancers and cholesterol thrive. And, a diet rich in plant proteins actually help reverse these ailments.  REVERSE!

It’s a documentary worth watching.  It’s currently on Netflix. It’s getting more attention because the doctors in this film helped former president Bill Clinton with his heart disease and their form of treatment was documented with terminally ill patients.  Filled with multiple studies.  These reputable doctors have much respect from me.

I believe I’m going to be switching my diet and going vegan.  I even went out and picked up some almost milk (the sweet, vanilla kind) to start kicking the milk habit.

I’m pretty sure Mister Hubster views me as some kind of a nut already, might as well support that with a diet rich in them I guess.

    Here’s to health.
